SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection contains newspaper articles from the Chicago Daily News and the Chicago Daily Tribune relating to Herbert Hoover from 1916 to 1960. There are two subgroups: Chronological Clippings and Subject Clippings. The former is arranged chronologically while the subject clippings are arranged alphabetically by subject. The collection covers Hoover’s 1928 campaign, the Presidential years, and the campaign of 1932.
