BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Mildred Hall Campbell was born in 1905 in Branchville, Maryland and attended the Berwyn Grammar School, and later Hyattsville High School for two years. Campbell graduated from McKinley High School in 1922. She completed Washington school for secretaries and became a secretary to a publishing firm. Campbell was Lou Henry Hoover’s secretary from 1927 to 1934 and died on May, 29 1999.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The papers contain Campbell’s correspondence from 1930-1994, as well as her personal scrapbook (1928-1982) BOX 2 contains newspaper clippings,1931-1988, as well as her husband’s (Allen Campbell) unpublished memoirs, printed materials, also invitations, pamphlets, and miscellany.
