BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Writer and editor Perry K. Sellon was born in 1912. After graduating from Princeton with a master’s degree in English Sellon worked for Standard Statistics on security markets. During World War II Sellon worked at the War Production Board editing War Progress. He also wrote economic reports for the Federal Reserve Board, the Foreign Economic Administration, and the State Department. Sellon edited the “Business Around the World” section for World Report magazine (later U. S. News and World Report) until 1967. He worked briefly at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund before retiring in 1974. Sellon died April 23, 1990.

The Papers are arranged in two series:
PROFESSIONAL FILES contain reports, contracts, articles, biographical information, critiques, notes and booklets from 1937 to 1974. Topics include the World War Two era activities of: the Federal Reserve Board, the Foreign Economic Administration, the War Production Board, and security market statistics. Also includes materials on the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and U.S. News and World Report. Arranged alphabetically.
The PUBLICATIONS series contains issues of U.S. News and World Report arranged chronologically and books arranged alphabetically by author.
