BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Joseph H. Riggs was born on February 18, 1928. He was a professor of speech at Memphis State University. Riggs did an oral history project on Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover’s assistant secretary of aeronautics William McCracken, Jr. entitled: Bill MacCracken Speaks on Aviation, Law, Politics and Optometry.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection contains audiotape cassettes, correspondence, and transcripts for the oral history project.  Arranged alphabetically by type of material.
