The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum offers some of the area's most unique and intimate venues for meetings and corporate events. The facility offers a variety of spaces to meet your event needs. In addition guests are enlightened as they learn about Iowa's only president, Herbert Hoover.
General Information and Guidelines
General information about facility rentals may be obtained by contacting the Marketing and Sales Operations Manager at 319-643-5301. All reservations for facility rentalsmust be confirmed and the appropriate forms completed ahead of time. Events must be cultural, recreational, corporate and/or educational in nature. Personal or commercial events and political fundraisers are not permitted. No implications can be made through written material or media relations that the Herbert Hoover Museum is sponsoring the event or has endorsed the organization sponsoring the event. There can be no sales promotions and/or services.
Venue Spaces
Museum Main Lobby and Rotunda: These spaces can be used for receptions. Visitors can also browse the Museum store which offers a large variety of speciality gifts and books. This space is available after 5:00 p.m.
Figge Auditorium: The auditorium has seats for 180 people, complete with stage and audio/visual equipment. This space can accommodate symposiums, educational presentations, cultural events, award ceremonies and musical performances.
Conference Room: This space is ideal for meetings of 25 people or less. There is Internet access as well as video conferencing access.
Olberg Room: This area is ideal for educational uses, seminars or small luncheons. A maximum number of 35 can fit into this space comfortably.
Space Reservations
General availability for all spaces (except Main Lobby and Rotunda) is Monday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. All rental space is subject to availability. Contact the Museum for information about scheduling an event, the fee structure, or to review the application process. The rental agreement form is available for download.
