Herbert Hoover Presidential Library


William B. Quarton III served as a trustee of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association (HHPLA) from 1975 to 2007. Quarton was born on March 27, 1903. He worked in radio, broadcast television, and cable television. Quarton was also a philanthropist for the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Coe College, Planned Parenthood, and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. He was given the Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award in 1993. Quarton died on August 19, 2007.


The William Quarton collection contains correspondence, financial records, minutes, reports, and subject files related to the HHPLA. It also contains books related to Herbert Hoover. The collection has two subgroups, HHPLA and books. HHPLA materials are arranged alphabetically by type of material and books are arranged alphabetically by author.
