SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This is an artificial collection of 857 copies created from originals within the Herbert Hoover Presidential Papers and the William R. Castle Papers. Primarily conversations between Secretary of State Henry Stimson and foreign officials or State Department staff, there are also conversations of other Hoover administration officials. Also included are phone conversations between Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt during the interregnum. Arranged chronologically. Previously title: Transatlantic Phone Conversations.
