BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Robert Miller Macy was born in Adel, Iowa on March 17, 1908. He was an economist for the Bureau of the Budget, the Agency for International Development, and the United Nations. He married Deborah Keever, retired in 1972, and died on February 13, 1991.


SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

Materials include reports, correspondence, memoranda, writings, and an autobiography.  Subjects include: the Joint Inspection Unit of the United Nations, Turkey, Indonesia, Central America, and Deborah Keever Macy. The autobiography details Deborah Macy’s life, education at the Sorbonne and Stanford, and travels through Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Arranged alphabetically by subject or type of material.
