April 23*, 2016, 10 am - 3 pm
rain date, April 24

180 Go! Kite Performance team is a dedicated group of quad-line Stunt Kite fliers whose skill and mastery of the air brings a new level of excitement to kite events. They will be performing at Kites Over Hoover Park from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 23.

180 Go! performs precision aerial maneuvers and dynamic formations against a backdrop of popular music that engages and excites crowds of all ages. There will be a kite vendor onsite – or bring your own favorite kite to fly. The day’s activities include: children’s games and races, a candy drop, an appearance by Benjamin Franklin, kite flying and spectacular kite stunts! Weather permitting the 100 foot “big” kites will be back again this year!

The Iowa City Steam Room Fab Lab will also be a part of this event, making parachute kties with the children. There are about 200 Fab Labs throughout the world and their mission is to enable invention by providing access to tools for digital fabrication.

Food will be available to purchase from Main Street Sweets.

This event is free and will be held at 1 Tidewater Drive in West Branch, Iowa – exit 254 off Interstate 80 and head south. Tidewater Drive is the first street to the left.
