You'd better pony up, cause the Cowboy Christmas exhibit at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum, will be on display November 17- January 2nd! We'll hit the trail with vaqueros of the Old West and stop at a few cowtowns along the way. You'll be ridin' alongside cowboys, ranchers, and outlaws; but make sure you mind your manners at the saloon so you don't have any run-ins with the Sheriff! While you're waiting for the next train or Buffalo Bill's Wild West show you might run into some familiar cowboys. I hear Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, John Wayne and Clint Eastwood might be passin' through. In this year’s Christmas display there are 20 decorated Christmas trees, each one portrays a different aspect of the life of the cowboy in the Old West and the Hollywood cowboy. Fact and myth will merge as you see historical photos from the Old West in the 1800s along with John Wayne’s hat and Gene Autry’s saddle. A variety of ornaments seen on the trees are available to purchase in the gift shop. The Museum is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
