A copy of the School Field Trip Guide to the Museum is available for download. Arrange your school tour of the Museum by filling out the Field Trip Request Form. We will send you an email confirmation once your Museum tour is scheduled.

NOTE: April-May and September-October are our busiest months for school tours. Please schedule early in the year to ensure your preferred date and time are available.

Field Trip Request Form

The following Information is to help teachers prepare students and chaperones for a successful field trip to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum.

A school visit to the Hoover Museum is an exciting and educational experience for students and teachers. There are several ways to experience the Museum and we offer these tips to help plan your day. Contact the Education Department with any questions.

Every effort is taken to ensure school groups receive guided tours of the exhibits and grounds. However, the program for guides is volunteer based and a volunteer may not be available for your tour. Please be prepared to lead your group through the museum galleries by using the School Field Trip Guide. To go along with your tour these worksheets have been created for your students:
Scavenger Hunt  (To be used while students are on the tour.  Please bring clipboards, a writing surface, and pencils, no pens, for your students)
If I Were President (Post visit activity)
Citizenship (Post visit activity)
Article II of the Constitution (for kids)

Planning Your Visit:
Your group will only have start times scheduled for the Museum (one hour) and Historic Site (one hour). To schedule a start time for the Historic Site you must visit their website, www.nps.gov/heho homepage and then select the 'Field Trips" link.
Allow 30 minutes for the film, which will run on the hour, every hour and can be viewed at your group's leisure. Your group is welcome to plan their own lunch time, grave-site visit, prairie walk, extra time in the temporary exhibit, bathroom breaks, and gift shop visit. Our goal is to make sure your group has a great experience by providing more flexibility in your day.
