National History Day Workshops 2014
January 31, 2014, 10:00AM-12:30PM CST, Student Workshop at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum, “Category Exploration.”
This workshop will aid students in designing a project that best demonstrates their research. Students will learn what is needed to make a strong final product in their category (paper, website, exhibit, performance, documentary). Prior to attending, students should have started their research and have a general idea of what type of project they plan to create. Lunch is brown bag in the auditorium or on own. The workshop will not include a tour of the Museum. Tours following the workshop may be scheduled with the Education Department. The workshop and tours are free and can be booked by calling 319-643-6027 or emailing HooverTours@nara.gov. Bus grants are available.
All workshops are also offered as free outreach school visits, distance learning webinars, or polycom videoconferences. Distance learning workshops are free to Iowa students. Please contact Elizabeth Dinschel at 319-643-6031 or Elizabeth.Dinschel@nara.govfor availability.
